Remote Learning continues to be a challenge for a lot of students so it is important that we try to differentiate for all. Two students living in the same household will each have their own routine and their own challenges. The one commonality is that their is not only an increase in the amount of screen time involved in their learning but the opportunity to access the internet. At Mount Carmel student access is governed by the structures and restrictions that are placed upon the College by the DOW firewall. It  is important to ensure that students are using the internet at home appropriately and that you have appropriate checks in place to ensure this, in particular in regards to the distractions of social media platforms and streaming networks. Not to say that these are inappropriate, because they do play a vital role especially during this pandemic, but they can be a distraction to learning.
