Athletics Carnival

Thank you to all the students and teachers who supported the Athletics Carnival last Friday. There were some excellent results and I am very proud of the way our students conducted themselves and supported their colleagues. Mount Carmel is indeed a  great school. With the Javelin still to be held we can not post Age Champions as yet, as the Javelin could decide the final standing. Students should register via compass link for the Javelin. When we have a few sunny days we will run the Javelin, on a Tuesday after sport. We will give students 24 to 48 hours warning.

Diocesan Cross Country

Thanks to Mr Duval and Mrs Valastro for this report and their time and effort coaching and supporting our students.

It was a great day for the secondary diocesan cross country selections at the Narellan Sports hub on Monday. We were certainly fortunate with the weather with only our last two races (16 years boys and girls) affected by the rain as they ran the course. 

Our Mount Carmel students were committed to finishing each of their races and proved this by their fantastic runs, doing the College proud. Mount Carmel also brought the community and family spirit, cheering on all that were racing on the day. Of our 27 students, 7 have progressed to the next round where they will compete at the CCC Cross Country trials and represent the Wollongong diocese. Congratulations to Matthew Galvin, Monique Jakovljevic, Joel Skipper, Campbell Cox-Barlow, Isabella Ashcroft, Ethan Littlewood and Zoe Bruce. Well done to all for your fantastic efforts.
