Year 7 Sport - Swimming
This term for Sport, 7 Howard students travelled to the Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre to participate in a swimming program that focused on improving general skills and water confidence. All abilities of swimming are well catered for; from the most reluctant swimmer to the highly competent and the program allows each student to develop swimming skills or be challenged for improvement. Under the watchful eye of the wonderful instructors, students while working hard are also encouraged to have fun playing games or organising races with their friends. The program each term also covers basic first aid, survival/rescue scenarios and the opportunity to enjoy the highly energetic and entertaining Aqua Aerobics! Full credit to the students for the manner in which they have conducted themselves, participating in the sessions and being so well organised each week.

Zoe Bruce
Zoe Bruce was selected for the NSW All Schools State team for triathlon. They will compete at Nationals in Hervey Bay in early September. Triathletes compete for fastest overall completion time, racing each segment sequentially with the time transitioning between the disciplines included. The three typical components of triathlon: swimming, cycling, and running. Outstanding effort Zoe.
Daniel Lill
Daniel was awarded with Age champion for NSW CCC. Excellent work!

Communication regarding Sport
Students are reminded to continue checking the Compass dashboard for key information relating to sport during 2022. Key information will also be communicated to parents via the College Newsletter and notes sent home. Information will also be provided to staff who will communicate key messages with students during Pastoral Care in the morning.
We would love to hear if your child or someone part of our school community, past or present, experiences any sporting success. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any sporting success so we can recognise those achievements in our community.
