Year 10 Transition Week
This week Year 10 completed an alternate program as part of their Transition Week. On Monday and Tuesday the grade alternatively spent a day at Stanwell Tops and at the College completing NESA modules. At the Tops the grade participated in numerous challenging and team building exercises from abseiling down 15 metre cliff faces to completing tree top obstacle courses. Whilst the weather was less than ideal on the Monday, the Girl's group still entered the day with enthusiasm and had a good laugh with the site facilitators doing indoor games for the morning session.
On Wednesday the grade had the opportunity to listen to Elevate Education around resume writing, job interview skills and then spent the afternoon examining career pathways. Thursday then saw the group engaged in liturgical end of year gratitude sessions, a talk around safe partying and risk taking behaviours by our College's police liaison officer and enjoying an afternoon BBQ followed by team games.
I thank all students that attended for the spirit in which they approached the week as well as all of the staff that took time away from their normal lessons to assist with the running of the week.
