Year 12  Half Yearly Academic Reports available via Compass

The Year 12 Academic Reports will be available via Compass today. At this point of the year, this report provides an indicator of how a student is progressing with each of their HSC courses. These reports provide a cumulative mark and rank for each course along with A-E grades awarded for specific subject outcomes. A learning profile also outlines how the student is approaching their learning and each teacher has provided feedback regarding an area of achievement and growth and improvement. The pastoral report will provide an insight into how each student is progressing in meeting the expectations of Year 12 and contributing to pastoral initiative and College life. The consideration and effort that goes into the creation of these reports ensures that they are a tool to guide improvement and learning growth. Students will have the opportunity to reflect on these during pastoral lessons.

HSC Minimum Standards - Year 10 - Monday 3rd April

This week, students in Year 10 will make their first attempt at the HSC Minimum Standards Tests. These tests are an opportunity for students to demonstrate their level of competency in writing, reading and numeracy. To show they meet the HSC minimum standard, students need to achieve Level 3 or 4 in short online reading, writing and numeracy tests of skills for everyday life. Many students will meet this level on their first attempt, however if not, they will have multiple opportunities throughout Yr 10, 11 and 12 to meet the minimum standard.

In preparation for these tests, students have downloaded a lockdown browser and will need a well charged laptop to complete the tests on Monday (periods 1-3). Students will need to check their Compass schedule for the location of their tests.

Students in Yr 11 and 12 who are yet to meet the standards, will also have opportunities this term to attempt the tests.
