Week 7 was a reprieve in Diocesan Championship events with only girls Southern Country Rugby league trials being held in Canberra. We were lucky enough to have Leisl Hopoate selected to represent the Southern Country Rugby league team later this year. We also had a very successful round 4 of MISA this week with 5 of our teams getting important wins in their respective competitions. This is setting up an exciting finish with our teams in the mix to position themselves in finals spots to gain important points for the MISA championship trophy.

Volleyball Years 7-9 Boys NIMM |
VS MAS Win 3-0 |
Mike Mikaele |
In our round 5 fixture against Macarthur Anglican, the boys delivered a dominant performance, highlighting improved serving as well as communication. As a result the team placed immense pressure on the opposition from the start with better communication between the players enabling cohesive game play and teamwork to win all three sets. Our standout player and MVP this week was Mike Mikaele who demonstrated consistency in his setting and serving throughout the match. Fantastic effort boys, well done! |
Volleyball Years 7-9 Girls HOBR |
VS Loss 3-0 |
Alicia Lardizabal |
The Junior Girls Volleyball Team faced St. Patrick's and unfortunately conceded in all three games. Despite this, it was positive to see improvement in cohesion and teamwork during the third game. After the match, the team worked on refining their skills and court formation through a series of training drills led by senior students. Alicia Lardizabal earned the MVP title this week for her dedication and commitment in pursuit of each ball. |
Indoor Cricket Years 7-9 Girls OCOB |
VS WAC Win 70-61 |
Faith Chilufya and Chamaya Rajapakse |
The girls were feeling confident against a strong Wollondilly Anglican team. The girls lost the toss and were sent in to bat first. The team put on their best performance so far this season with some solid boundaries from Samantha Stewart and Chamaya Rajapakse posting an outstanding total of 70 runs, which is the team’s highest total so far this season. The girls went into bowl confident that they could keep the opposition to under 70 runs. There were some incredible catches from Faith Chilufya which kept WAC under the MCCC total. Congratulations to the girls on a voracious victory, it was very well deserved |
Basketball Years 10-12 Boys HARK |
VS BAC Win 35-37 |
Aneek Gamildien |
With this the last chance to have a run before leaving for the Marist Basketball Tournament we were looking to have a strong hit out. The opposition started fast and were hitting their shots and we were working hard to keep their big man at bay. We were down 23-16 at half time but with some excellent defence and improved offence led largely by the team captain Isaac Ramos we were able to get the win 35-37 in a very tight finish. The MVP for the game goes to Aneek Gamildien scoring 4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 deflections. His defence getting multiple blocks on the opposing big man and hitting a big 3 to help get us back in the game and take the lead. |
Basketball Years 10-12 Girls ABRN |
VS MAS Win 24-5 |
Jemma Riordan |
A tough game today with the aggression displayed from MAC. Our girls were victorious however the MAC defence was difficult to penetrate. The foul count was high and that reflected the physical nature of the game. Our girls persisted with their passes, shots, screens and deflections. Congratulations to the whole team for their communication, resilience, skill and determination. |
Oztag Years 10-12 Boys KING |
VS MAS Win 6-3 |
Preston Gallant and Nicholas Lalic |
The boys senior OzTag team has secured their third consecutive victory by triumphing over Macarthur Anglican School (MAS) with a commanding six tries to three. Despite MAS having numerous chances to score through multiple sets, the boys displayed impressive defensive prowess, effectively thwarting their opponents' attempts. Preston Gallant and Nicholas Lalic stood out as the top performers on the field today, earning them the well-deserved accolade of Most Valuable Player/s. |
Oztag Years 10-12 Girls HEAS |
VS MAS 7-1 |
Liesl Hopoate |
A dominant performance by all 12 members of the team from start to finish. Liesl led the team and scored on the first possession, this continued throughout the match with 5 different try scorers. A key aspect of their win was their tenacity without possession with the marker often making multiple tags restricting Macarthur Anglican from getting any forward progress. Congratulations to the whole team for an outstanding team effort. |
Softball Years 7-9 Boys PONT |
VS MAG Loss 10-2 |
Jaiden Miles | The boys started slow but certainly turned it around in the third innings. Jivesh opened the innings with an incredible home run that set the tone for the rest of the team. Tennyson backed it up with his own home run. Keeden made it to second but unfortunately got run out after a skillful catch by the opposition. Jaiden was sneaky between the bases and ran home. Jaiden not only had a good game but is always a great team member who offers advice, acts as a base coach, will always put his hand up to try new positions and is constantly encouraging all of the boys. Well done Jaiden. Another shout out to our official base coach Parker who always offers his insights to the group. Bring on the final round. |
