Year 12 Hospitality Practical Assessment
The Hospitality - Kitchen Operations students created a delicious 3 course meal for 24 guests during the Trial HSC this week. The students planned the food orders, prepared and then presented for 2 dishes for each course of the menu. The students worked well together. They produced their delicious meals on time and cleaned the La Valla Centre before leaving. Throughout the 2 year VET course, the students have completed 7 major Assessment Tasks, 70 hours of Work Placement in local restaurants, clubs and cafes, multiple practical lessons and we are very proud of their efforts.
This course provides students with a set of very valuable skills demanded by the hospitality industry. These skills ensure they are capable to be employed in food establishments such as cafes, restaurants and takeaway business organisations now and in the future. These students can be proud of their fine efforts to produce a restaurant quality meal within the set deadline.
