Studies of Religion 2 students would like to thank Mr Pletikosa and Mrs Hanna for accompanying us to the Sydney Jewish Museum in Darlinghurst. We spent our time there delving deep into the Jewish culture, particularly focusing on the religious tradition of Judaism. Initially, we were introduced to Jewish educator and HSC Senior Marker Sandy Hollis, who enlightened us about Judaism, specifically elucidating the matter of bioethics within the religious tradition. Students got the opportunity to ask any questions regarding Judaism after the informative session.

Afterwards, students were given a tour around the Judaism section of the museum, accompanied by volunteer tour guides. Throughout their exploration students were given the opportunity to develop their knowledge by asking questions. The session was comprised of learning about the daily life of a Jewish adherent, Jewish sacred texts and the various festivals within the religious tradition.

Overall the experience was extremely enriching and an extreme privilege due to the copious amount of detailed information that had been provided to us by Jewish educators and people of actual Jewish descent. Once again, our class would like to thank Mr Pletikosa and Mrs Hanna for providing us with this wonderful opportunity. It was an amazing day and it is an extremely beneficial experience for all students studying the religious tradition of Judaism!
